Thanks to everyone who came out for the 2017 FLA ACME Workshop at Patrick AFB. And an extra special thanks to our sponsors!
We had a great time coming together to talk about all things Military Education - from the golf course to the convention hall. Check out a few fun photos from the events - and visit the Workshop page to see more photos of speakers, vendors, and more.
FL-ACME supports The National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA) to better serve our military students pursuing online education. Once Florida passes legislation to participate in NC-SARA, Florida will establish a streamlined state level reciprocity process for all Florida higher educational institutions. This will ensure Florida students can continue their educational pursuits with their current school out of state, while ensuring institutions are in compliance with all state regulatory requirements.
FL-ACME asks that all institutions interested in the adoption of NC-SARA share the attached talking points and links to the current House and Senate bills. Senate Bill 668 has been filed and the House companion is HB 859.
For additional information on NC-SARA, please visit:
Florida ACME is proud to announce that the 2017 scholarship period is now open. Applications must be submitted by March 15, 2017; interested candidates should visit the Scholarships page for more information about how to apply.
Mark your calendars for the upcoming Florida Advisory Council for Military Education Workshop to be held April 5-6, 2017 at the Patrick AFB Tides Club in Cocoa Beach, FL. The theme is “Launching Education.”

ACME, while a Florida-based organization, has members from Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, and surrounding states. We welcome educators and officials regardless of location as long as they share our dedication to providing educational opportunities for members our nation's armed forces and their families -- active duty, reserve/guard, or retired.
The emphasis at all ACME workshops is on the exchange of ideas and information to better serve the educational pursuits of members of the military community. ALL are welcome at ACME!
